PENGARUH EDUKASI GIZI TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN TENTANG KEKURANGAN ENERGI KRONIS (KEK) PADA CALON PENGANTIN (CATIN)

Abstract

Background. Bleeding, anemia and infectious diseases that occur in mothers are due to the impact of SEZ (Chronic Energy Deficiency) on pregnant women.  One of the factors that affect the nutrition of pregnant women is the knowledge of pregnant women and families about nutrients in food. Groups that must have an understanding of nutrition include brides-to-be. Objective.  Knowing the effect of nutrition education on knowledge about SEZ in catin in UPTD Puskesmas Pangkal Balam. Research design.  Quantitative research type. Pre-experiment research design with one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all prospective brides at UPTD Puskesmas Pangkal Balam in July 2024 with a total visit of 38 prospective brides. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling of 33 respondents.  Data analysis with univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with wilcoxon test Research results. Knowledge about SEZ in prospective brides before nutrition education showed the majority had poor knowledge, namely 15 respondents (45.5%). Knowledge of brides about SEZ after nutrition education showed the majority had good knowledge, namely 21 respondents (63.6%). The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained the results of p value = 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion There is an effect of nutrition education on knowledge about SEZ in prospective brides at UPTD Puskesmas Pangkal Balam. Keywords: Nutrition education, Knowledge, SEZ, Bride-to-be
