PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN WARGA DESA METUK TENTANG PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT (PHBS)

Abstract

Background: Health education is an activity or effort to convey health messages to individuals, groups and communities that aim to maintain and improve conducive health. With health education, individuals, groups and communities can gain knowledge about better health. This knowledge is ultimately expected to influence_behavior. Objectives: To determine the effect of health education on the level of community knowledge about PHBS in Metuk village. Describe the PHBS knowledge before being given health education. Describe the PHBS knowledge after being given health education. Analyzing the effect of health education on public knowledge about_PHBS. Method: This study used the Quasy Experiment method (One Group Pretest-Posttest). The design in this study did not use a control group, to test the changes that occurred before and after the intervention, the researcher conducted pre-test and post-test observations with the intervention of giving health education videos. This study used a sample of 40 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. The data were processed using SPSS 16 for Windows to analyze univariate and bivariate with the Paired T Test. Result: Based on the results of the Paired T Test, the level of knowledge of the respondents in the pretest-posttest, the Sig. (2-Tailed) value was obtained with a p value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was an effect of providing health education on the level of knowledge of residents in Karangandong hamlet, Metuk village, Mojosongo district, Boyolali district.. Conclusion: Based on the results of the Paired T Test, the level of knowledge of the respondents in the pretest-posttest, the Sig. (2-Tailed) value was obtained with a p value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was an effect of providing health education on the level of knowledge of residents in Karangandong hamlet, Metuk village, Mojosongo district, Boyolali district.
